Description
Electrochemical processes occur on the interface of electrodes and electrolytes both expressing complex and dynamic features especially when catalysis is involved. Electrochemical energy conversion systems like fuel cells and electrolyzers, along with CO2 reduction and valorization, and numerous emerging electrosynthesis processes all depend on integration of complex catalysts in heterogeneous and multi-phase structures – catalyst layers. This workshop aims to facilitate discussions on the (i) interplay between the structure of electrified interfaces and catalysts activity and selectivity, (ii) the role of electrolyte and the electric double layer on catalyst performance, (iii) catalyst integration in devices and the issues arising from their surface properties, shapes and morphology, (iv) complex transport issues and management of reactant and product streams.
Important
We wish to ensure an intimate workshop setting, with no more than 20 to 25 participants. If you are interested in attending but have not received an invitation, please contact the workshop organizer before registering.
Schedule
Sessions typically run mornings and late afternoons, leaving mid-day free for informal collaboration.
